The 905t compared to the 905r

I was wondering what everyones opinions are on the new 905r compared to the 905t. I would like to buy one of them and money is kind of an issue, so is there really any big difference between these two?

The R is more forgiving. It is 460cc and has a slightly shallower face that is longer from heel to toe. This gives it a 35% bigger sweet spot according to Titleist. I just got one and have only played it once. I had good results for the first time out, it was longer than my Ping G2. A lot of that had to do with the shaft. I went from an Aldila NV 65S to a Grafalloy Pro Launch 65R, the Pro Launch has a lot more kick.

Get on a launch monitor and test different head/shaft combinations. That's the best way to find which works best for you.

I've had both, and the R is a totally different club in my opinion. It has better feel, forgiveness, and distance over the T. I was not to impressed with the T but I like my R a lot. I'm just about to have it reshafted with a Diamana.

I went from a 905 S to the R.

I love it!
I hit it miles & can easily work it both ways without over working it.
I found hitting a draw pretty tough with my old driver but this one is sweet

The face gives off a louder noise & It seems a lot more forgiving with mis-hits.
