Please compare the V1X and THe HX Black

Can anyone that has played these two balls compare them. Which feels more like a rock? Which has a higher flight? Which will stop easier and bite on a green? Any other random coments are welcome as well. Thanks for a great forum!

The PV1x is a better ball IMO. The HX feels harder off the driver and putter. I can get more control on the greens with the PV1x then the HX. I really do not like the feel of the HX off the putter.

I've had my two longest drives with the HX Black. But I can spin the ProV1 more into the green.

Neverr hit the v1x, but I found the HX black to be quite long, with little feel. Not that great a ball, if you ask me. The Hx tour 56 is supposed to be softer. Also, the HX balls didn't seem too durable....

IMO, there's no comparison between the ProV1X and the Nike One Black. ProV1X wins hands down. Simp

Are you talking about the V1 or the V1X?

Oops! I typed something that I shouldn't have. I was talking about the HX Tour but for some reason put "Nike" in there. I still stand by my statement about the ProV1X being the better ball, IMO. I picked up 2 sleeves on vacation and it felt like that the HX Tour spun just a little more than the ProV1X resulting in being somewhat less forgiving.

I also picked up 2 sleeves of the Tour 56's and to me, they seemed to be more like the ProV1X, while the HX Tour seemed to be more like the ProV1. Simp

Yes your correct in saying that. The best ball I have evey hit is the Nike one Platinum...if your intrested. It has the distance of the PV1x feels softer and has better control around the green. It us a little cheaper too. You may what to try a sleeve.

I just bought a dozen after reading everything here on this site. I am basically looking for the longest ball I can find that does not feel like a rock and can still stop on the green with some good action to it. Maybe the Platinum is the way to go.

The V1x is softer and a lot more durable than the HX Tour. I used to play the original HX Tour when it first came out and after a few wedges the ball was cut to pieces.

Now, with the introduction of the HX Tour 56 IMO I think this is the best ball out there. MUCH softer than the original HX Tour and is also softer than the V1x (more like the Pro V1).

I have heard mixed reviews of the Tour 56. Some have described it as hitting a marshmellow. Do you feel this is true? Is it as long as the HX Tour/ V1x/ ONE Platinum? I want as much feel from the ball as possible without it feeling "mushy" & without sacrificing the distance.
