Older graphite shafts

Does anyone know if graphite shafts tend to change their flex (break down) over time? It would seem that they might, but I'm not sure. I was aked that question recently and didn't know the answer, I would think someone reading this might.

Graphite shafts can incurr a weakpoint that will become a crack and break overtime due to stress but as far as weakening to a lower flex over time the answer is NO.
