Titleist 905T

I am considering one for my next driver. I hit a 983K at the range and i had to literally force myself if i wanted to miss a fairway but the only thing i didnt like was i lost 20 yards of distance compared to my Ignite. From what I hear, the 905T is every bit as accurate and much longer than the 983. Is this true? If so, I'll have one in my bag VERY soon. Also, is the 905T a naturally high launching driver?

Don't know about the 905T, havn't hit one yet, but if you lost 20 yards from your ignite, I need to hit an ignite.....because I would be creaming that thing. I hit my 983K a long ways. I average about 290 or so off the tee, with a smooth swing. I've had more days than I can count where I didn't hit a tee shot under 300 for the whole 18. I'd love to hit a 905T though. Sorry I couldn't help, just thought I'd add that.

honestly i might have exaggerated....20 yards was the worst. real average loss was 12ish. i only noticed the distance loss when i pushed it to the limit. with a grip and rip swing i hit the ignite about 285. with the 983 i was barely passing 260.

I haven't hit the 983 but my 905T is fairly long and it is more accurate than the TM 510TP I used to have. But, the 510TP was longer than the 905. My 510TP had the Speeder 757 Stiff. My 905T details are in my signature.

how much distance do you get with the 905T on average and what is your swing speed. my swing speed is around 100-110 and all i am looking for is 270ish(carry+roll) on a normal swing and i want to be able to notice a difference in distance if i want to go for it and grip it and rip it.

My ss is about 105. I get a couple 300+ drives a round. I've got a X-shaft in it. That make it a little bit more difficult for me to hit a draw. But, I'll take a 285 fade every day.

I've gone from the 983K to the 905T.....I've picked up @10 yds carry, but on the most part, I have not lost yards on a mis hits. I also believe I have picked up the yards because of the NVS shaft. It gives me a better launch angle and ball spin rev's. My swing speed is @105, ball speed @ 140-145, carry @ 240 yds. Hard to say with roll since most fairways always seem to be different.

I currently hit the 905T and I hit it a little shorter than my old 983K. It is a bit more forgiving than the K. I also bought an 905R but did not like it at all so I went back to the T. I guess it's all about preference.

Don't get the T get the R. It's longer and more forgiving.
