Shaft Flex

What you do lose if you play a shaft that is too weak or too stiff for you? Distance? Accuracy? Both? I am wondering because my irons are stiff and my driver is regular. My Clubfitter says that I am in between flexes.

As a general rule, you lose accuracy with too soft a shaft and distance from too stiff a shaft. your clubfitter should be able to adjust the flex to suit your situation.

Agree with the above. Additionally, I hook the ball with a more flexible shaft and push the ball right if the flex is too stiff.

I find when I use a softer shaft my ball flight is too high and distance suffers, as well as accuracy. Alternatively if it's too stiff I have trouble hitting it solidly or getting it in the air properly.
