Tour Velvets vs. Winn G8 AVS

I'm going to get me clubs regripped tommorow and i will probably get tour velvets, but it seems like the winns might be better for my hands, because they seem smoother (get a lot of blisters0. Was just wondering if anyone plays the G8s and how do u like them

I use the winn g8's the black and red ones on all 13 clubs. Just put them on about 3 weeks ago and I have played about 7 or 8 9 hole rounds and then about an hour or so a day on good weather practicing.

I have noticed no wear problems so far, the grips feel really good, don't move around in my hand or anything like that. I would recommend them to anyone. I know some people talk about winn's wearing out so quick , but I would guess that in those 3 weeks I have hit more balls then a lot of people hit in a season and they are just like the day I bought them.

I did notice that I had to wipe them down yesterday because there was some black starting to show on the red, from them rubbing together in the bag. Using a wet towel it came off spotless.
I give them 2

Winns

I regripped my entire set with the Winns and absolutely love 'em. Like you, my hands are really sensitive, and almost every grip I've ever used cause my hands discomfort. The new Winns you're talking about are so easy on the hands, you almost don't need a glove. I have tried almost all the grips out there over the past few years, and I am honestly done. I might buy like 150 off ebay and just keep 'em so I have a supply for the next several years.

I put a Winn Classic on my driver and IMO is one of the best grips I've held on too. I also like the G8's. Next year I plan on regripping my irons and wedges with them. My buddy has a G8 on his Vokey and he seems to love it. I haven't heard to many bad things about them though.

FWIW I really like the look of the new Golf Pride NewDecade Multicompounds, but they're not cheap...

Winns seem to wear out much much quicker than all the other grips Ive used. However, because they are the most comfortable grips I have used, I can justify replacing them more often.
