It's all about confidence. Whatever you are comfortable hitting, that is all that matters. In my own humble opinion, that club isn't any different than when it first came out. In fact I find it to be uglier. Spend money on a lesser known brand and watch yourself hit it just as far. If for any reason you aren't hitting it as far, it's probably caused by all that money in your pocket weighing you down that you saved.
They are nice dirvers but not worth the extra $100 for some moveable weights. The Nike SQ and Cleveland Hi-bore are way more forgiving and have a lower center of gravity giving a better launch angle with out weights and are a $100 bucks cheaper.
And Ditto on the R5. If you want a TM save the money and get an R5. You will not know the difference in a R5 and the R7 460 other then the extra money you will have.
I couldn't get over how closed the face was and it just overall feels huge. The 425 set up nice though.

I was at a demo day for them last week. The face is way closed!!!! Now I don't know if just looking at it got me thinking hook but as hard as I tried I could not get one to slice. This thing was going about 25 yards left and I could not stop it. As soon as I went back to an R7 ( a little hooky) or the T.P. perfect flight, all was well.
So if you are looking for a driver that hooks 460 R7. The T.P 460 should have an open face though.
R5 if you have to have a TM, X460 (tour) felt great, set up great, and got good distance. For me the Cleveland Launcher Ti460 with the Adilia NV shaft hit farther and was more forgiving than the TM 460. A buddy of mine has a R5N and that thing is money......
I dont feel it is any better the R7 quad or R5. My buddy who has nothing better to do with his $$ just bought an R7 460 with the stock shaft...we took it to the course, I hit my R5 just as long, and straighter, the R7 kept going left. He hit my R5 and his R7 460 almost exactly the same distance.
Few round later he sticks an NV65 in it, we go play 18....same results, only now the trajectory was a bit lower, still left though and no more distance then my R5. He wasnt to happy with his purchase after that.
Glad to hear nothing overwhelmingly great about the R7. I've had the R5 D for some 50 rounds, and find it very good, consistent, maybe not the "WOW" factor of some drivers, but solid. However, my friend's ballflight and personal opinion was swaying me. Besides a better shaft and 10cc, it's hard to imagine much different from an R5D and an R7 with weights set for draw. Who knows.
