big bertha irons?

after doing some research about easy hitting irons and most forgiveness, i ended up buying big bertha irons from callaway, i have played with them about 4 times so far this season, cant really seem to get an consistency, not able to gauge proper distance as it varies a lot, also seem to be slicing a few shots which i never did with irons before, i had a dunlop starter set before this, any takes about whats wrong? maybe it just need some time, i sure hope so cz buying another set would get me kicked out of house.

Ziqch, did you get fitted when you bought them? If not you might have the wrong shaft flex/length and clubhead lie angle for your swing, any of those being off could affect your consistancy. All three variables are correctable if you visit a good fitting professional at a local shop. Another factor that could be coming into play is if you switched from steel to graphite or vice versa, in which case you probably need some time to get used to the weight difference. Cally BB's are very user friendly and I would bet you'll figure out how to groove them, but visit a professional to have them fitted if you haven't done so already. Good luck.
