I know I am sounding like a broken record.... but I was looking in about the same range and had my mind set on used but after a lot of comparisons on the range and launch monitor I went with the Innovex RLS Irons and CFD driver. I play a couple of the Hybrids which pushes it out of your price range but you could get 4 through PW and driver for @ $480, look at the options to demo and their latest driver challenge. I chose these over Callaway, Cleveland, Ping etc.. even though those were the names that I was originally set on buying used.

Cool

For that $500, I'll sell you my old set of irons, and throw in a few wedges to fill out the set. Then throw in a 3 and 5 wood and a driver. Where do you want me to ship the package? Seriously, you have the $500, I've got the clubs all ready to ship.
