Hi, I just got into golf almost a year ago, and I am looking to buy a new driver. I am on a bit of a budget so i dont have many choices. The three clubs I was looking at were:
NIKE Mens Ignite 460cc Ti Driver
Maxfli Mens Max 460cc Titanium Driver
Dunlop Mens John Daly 540cc Forged Driver
Also could you help me out and suggest what loft and flex I should get, I not sure what would be good for me. I am still learning to get better at my swing, I tend to hit the ball high but not that far, if that helps.
A great bargain driver is the Taylor Made 580. They were on the market a short time before the r7 came out but they're great drivers. When they first came out they cost about $400.00 but now you can get a new one for $150.00 or so. Check ebay too - they have lots of then cheap. As far as loft and flex go - I just read that average golfers should always use a regular flex shaft - and no less than 10 degree loft. Actually, in the article they said a 12 degree is ideal particularly for the new golfer.
I definately wouldn't go for the 540cc Dunlop offering, apart from the fact it looks pretty nasty, it's also illegal if you're thinking about playing in any tourneys. I'd go with the Nike ignite although you'd be better off going to try a few different one's, and see which one you hit the best
^^^ just realized that, dont buy an illegal driver.. doesnt benefit yourself, and for the flex, stiff get.. even if your backswing isnt fast, it will get faster over time
Best thing you could ever do for yourself is to spend the $40 or so to get you numbers tested (swing speed, launch angle, ball speed, draw/fade, etc). This way you can get the driver that is right for you. It won't do you any good if you get a driver that has 10.5* of loft but a stiff shaft, or a 8.5* and regular shaft. You need to find out what your launch angle is first and go from there. Out of those choices they Ignite is the best choice, but keep in mind there are a multitude of drivers in the $150 range on ebay (Cleveland Launcher 460, Ping G2's, Taylormade R5's, Cobra SZ's, etc, etc, etc). Also keep in mind that if you have a golfsmith near you, you can have a custom made driver/shaft combo (SnakeEyes 600T) built for you for under $150 and that WILL be as good as any OEM driver.
I have the Ti460 and love it a lot, much better than my Taylormade R7 in terms of forgiveness and length, but it is much harder to work the ball. Out of those 3, the Ti460 can be had the cheapest on ebay, but the Ping G2 and G5's are solid choices as well. I haven't had the chance yet to play a round with a G5, but being that the G2 is an excellent club, I would imagine the G5 would exceed those standards.
"Offset" is the design of a driver where the shaft enters the head of the club in front of the face, not behind it. This will give a person a little bit of extra time to square the clubface in order to figh off the slice.
In order to get some more help from people, it would be good to give a little more information about yourself and your game. How far do you typically carry your drives? How far can you hit a 7-iron? Do you hit the ball straight, draw, fade, slice, hook? Do you have trouble getting the ball airborne? Info like this can go a long way in terms of helping peeps on this forum give you better recommendations!

I'm 16 and I have been playing for less than a year. With my old driver the longest i've hit the ball is about 190-200. I'll usually hit it straight or slice it. "Do you have trouble getting the ball airborne?", yes, if having the ball go into the air at like a 40* angle and keep rising until it falls is what you mean. I kind of tend to almost pop the ball up into the air.

The highest I can go is $250
What is your Driver now?
Do you have access to a teaching Professional?
At 16, time is on your side. 50-75$ for an hour or lesson, may be better than just buying a new Driver. Then buy the Driver of choice later. JMO!
From what you listed I would go with the Ignite. However you can find great deals on ebay. Next to the Ignite the Taylormade R5 is the best out there from last years drivers.
