Shortening shaft on a putter

Hi everyone. I bought an Odyssey 2-ball ata pawns shop for $20.00 bucks, and in excellent condition. It still has the labels and everything. It is a 35" shaft and I wouuld like to have it cutt to 33" since I am only 5'5".
How would that affect the balance of the putter ot it's performance?

Cut mine to 32". Will change swingweight/feel of club. I added lead tape to bottom until it felt right.

I cut my mizuno from 35 to 33 and didn't notice a thing different, except I am putting better. Not sure if the new grip is lighter then the old one or not but I didn't need any lead tape. Every putter is going to be different, if you find a grip that is lighter then the one you have now it will somewhat drown out the swing weight variance.

I cut my putter from a 34 to a 31. It took a lot of lead, both in the shaft and lead tape on the back of the clubhead to restore the balance. Every inch you remove from the shaft is 6-8 swingweights. Weigh your putter first, before you cut the shaft, then proceed. Ideally a putter should be between C6 and D4. If the putter is much below C6 it may give you problems on fast greens, but you won't notice it much on slow greens. Good luck!

It's a face balanced (I think) putter so it wont' throw the balance off, just the feel and weight.
