Bionic Golf Glove

Thought I would throw out a short review of these gloves. I ordered one simply because my left hand was blistering up when I started and I needed something relatively inexpensive. I ordered it from

http://www.painreliever.com/bionicglove_biogolfmen.html

I have to say I am extremely impressed with it. It is supposed to have padding to even evreything out and help you get a better swing. All in all I am happy with it and will be buying them in the future. Great product.

Is the Bionic Glove USGA-conforming???

Just curious. I seem to recall a glove that had built-in ridges to guide golfers into taking the correct grip - these were illegal for use in competition. Is the bionic glove approved for USGA tournaments ??? Didn't see it addressed on the manufacturer's website.

I have a Bionic Glove. My Dad bought it for me when he bought one for himself. The original poster said something about needing a decent glove that was not expensive. I think these gloves are expensive. $30+ is the price I have seen. I usually use Footjoy gloves that I can get on sale for like $12 each. That said, YES, the Bionic Glove does have a ridge across the palm that tends to stop the grip from riding up into the palm. I do not "know" that it is illegal in competition, but based on reading the rules, I would tend to think that it would not be legal. Alot of us are not in competition, so that may not matter, but what about for the casual user? This glove is as good as you can expect from a glove. It seems to be holding up pretty good. My problem with it is that I have really small hands. Usually need a mens small or cadet glove. Dad got a medium for me and it does fit, but much like most leather gloves, it has stretched a bit. I tend to like my glove very snug and then allow it to stretch to mold to my hand. My Bionic Glove's thumb was either a tad long for me or has stretched a bit from my thumb slotting into my right hand in the grip. I feel like I constantly have to tug on my glove to get that snug fit feeling. Of course it could just be me and I will have to learn to live with it and make it part of my pre-shot routine.

looks like it is for certain cases

"USGA sanctioned for players with arthritis of the hands."

As someone new to the sport I never even considered tournament play ;) Great question though.

I was told that the Bionic glove is not USGA approved. I bought one anyway and use it during practice rounds. Very comfortable!!!!!!! (I was not aware that it was approved for arthritic hands. Do I have to get a doctors excuse to use it?)

I stand corrected on the price issue I raised earlier. Looks like they go for $24.95+$4.95 shipping. Comes up 10 cents cheaper than the $30+ I quoted.
As for the arthitis relief, I have some pre-arthitis pain, and I don't see much difference between this glove and my other gloves. I did have a Nike glove once that had alot of spandex type material in it much like the Bionic Glove, but I wasn't happy with the overall feel of that glove and never bought another one once it wore out.
