I have a Bionic Glove. My Dad bought it for me when he bought one for himself. The original poster said something about needing a decent glove that was not expensive. I think these gloves are expensive. $30+ is the price I have seen. I usually use Footjoy gloves that I can get on sale for like $12 each. That said, YES, the Bionic Glove does have a ridge across the palm that tends to stop the grip from riding up into the palm. I do not "know" that it is illegal in competition, but based on reading the rules, I would tend to think that it would not be legal. Alot of us are not in competition, so that may not matter, but what about for the casual user? This glove is as good as you can expect from a glove. It seems to be holding up pretty good. My problem with it is that I have really small hands. Usually need a mens small or cadet glove. Dad got a medium for me and it does fit, but much like most leather gloves, it has stretched a bit. I tend to like my glove very snug and then allow it to stretch to mold to my hand. My Bionic Glove's thumb was either a tad long for me or has stretched a bit from my thumb slotting into my right hand in the grip. I feel like I constantly have to tug on my glove to get that snug fit feeling. Of course it could just be me and I will have to learn to live with it and make it part of my pre-shot routine.
