Tommy Armour 845's irons

A beginner friend of mine just got some 845's on a clearout sale. Very good price 179.00 for the whole iron set. I've looked at them and they look and feel pretty nice. Not much different from my Taylormades. Any feedback on these irons will be forwarded on to my friend.

They are probably IMO one of the best iron sets ever made. Don't have much more feedback than that.

They are a set of irons that can stay with your friend for quite a long time sounds like he got a great deal.

I'm a big fan of 845's also. I've only been playing for about 18 months now and feel lucky to have gotten the 845's when I got them- they were the literally the last lefty 845 set one of the online retailers had. Will be keeping these for awhile. GREAT beginner irons, miles ahead of anything he could have bought at a WalMart, etc.
