thanks

Tommy Armour is always a safe bet, I dont know about adams though. I would get the tommy armour clubs because they make some high quality clubs at low prices.

I am playing some Armour 845FS iorns I picked up up six months ago super cheap and brand new from Rockbottom Golf, and like them more than my much more expensive Cleveland TA-6s. I am looking forward to trying a set of their newer forged offerings. But my 845FS irons are as well made and feel as good as anything I have hit over the years. I don't think you will go wrong with the Armours

Armour Silver Scots are great. VERY underrated. You can't go wrong with 'em. They were made for a lot of years for a good reason - fantastic set of irons that will outperform ones costing 3x as much. I prefer them over Taylor Made, Cleveland, or some Callaway clones that I have been able to hit. I vote for Tommy....

mbatts77 hi. I just posted this, my opinion, for another poster: [re: Adams Idea A1 graphite shafts. Got mine NEW ebay $229] "General rule, if beginner, get game improvement irons... the better players hcp 9 and lower) can experiment with better clubs but not beginners (if you ARE a bigginer that is). Personally, I have a set of game improvements. I'm a 6 hcp but like the feel & look of a larger iron head. For the money and the quality, I recommend the same clubs I have, the Adams Idea irons. When they came out in 2004 I think, there were 3 versions: Per Adams doc. Idea for 18+ hcp, Idea A1 for 10-20 hcp, and Idea A1 Pro for 0-10 hcp. I use the A1, set came with two hybrids, the 3i and 4i, which replaced the traditional looking 3 & 4 i. The main diff is the sole of each model is less wide as you go to the Pro version. Can't beat the deal either... ebay has em' brand new in wrapper, GRAPHITE shafts (seen both reg & stiff) for $229. That get you the 3 & 4 hybrids, and the 5i thru Pitching wedge! Not sure what your level of play is but hope you find irons that feel right! I LOVE mine. Regards, Golf" Hope it helps.
