I'm plauged by a constant fade which may be partly due to an outside to inside swing (which I'm trying to fix) but even then I'm wondering if the stiff shafts are contributing to my problem.
I'm thinking of building a set of the Snake Eyes Python Plus Irons 5-PW with 2quickstrike 2 Hybrid clubs for the 3 and 4. I'm not sure if I would be better off with graphite shafts or steel. If steel I was thinknig of the TT TX-90 in a R flex or dare I say even the A flex or the Rifle Airlites in an R flex. Any suggestions?

Dear tpw:
I went thru similar experiences with a set of Callaway S2H2 Irons that
I bought about 15 years ago. I had the stiff steel shafts replaced with
regular flex graphite shafts and suffered thru several years of sporadic
play until I had stiff steel shafts put back into the heads. My play improved slightly but not to my satisfaction. (note that during this time
I worked a lot and my attendance at the golf course was also sporadic)
Last year several things happened, I retired, I started playing more golf, I bought a new set of Jack Nicklas Irons with stiff steel "Rifle Shafts", and I took some lessons from our club pro. Interestingly my
iron play is beginning to improve considerably especially when I slow my
back swing down concentrate on tempo and don't try to hit the ball into the next county.
I have even considered pulling out my old irons to see how I would
hit them now but I'm afraid I'll realize that I did not really need the new
irons and who knows what will happen to my game at that point.
Anyway that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
