Scotty Cameron Newport Beach

Anyone play one of these? I have seen one that I might pick up (eBay), but am not sure of how different they are to Newports I have tried before.

There are really two types of newports the Newport beach and newport II.....there are just small differences. Scotty Cameron has a web site that explains the difference. There are some older newports and the 009 with are different but they are hard to find.

As I understand it the Newport Beach has a channel cut into the sole that changes the sound and feel of the putter?

Yea, it has a 'sound slot' at the bottom. Makes more of a 'click' and feels more
lively off the face. I had one for a while and really liked the feel and sound. Couldn't putt with it though, but that's nothing to do with the model, I'm just not really a blade person at the moment. Gone back to the 2-ball.
