The HX Pearl is a ball geared for women (not that a man couldn't play them). They are a good 3 piece ball that have a low compression, very soft feel and good for players with slower swing speeds to help them get the ball in the air. The other balls you mentioned are higher end balls made for faster swing speeds. Regardless if you're a male or female, if you like the balls, go with it. There are also a few others right around that price range that would be similar, off the top of my head I can think of the Nike Ignite, Titleist So/Lo, Noodle. These might not be quite as soft as the Pearl and don't have that cool pearly finish.

i know they are are for women but i can't see paying 50.00 for a dz balls. i have a semi fast swing speed around 100-105 and they flew off the club better then the one blacks that i did play. i heard they are the same as the hx hot but lower compression is that true? i really can't see the pearl finish after i hit them a couple times. they seem to spin like crazt too.

If you look at the specs on their website. The Pearl and the HX Hot are virtually the same structure.

The pearl has a different finish on the outer shell and suppose ably a lower compression center. However, the specs on the website match pretty closely.

I liked the way the ball played (I play the HX Hot anyway). But it does look like a bit of a packaging deal to attract women with a little faster swing speed.

Actually, the fact there is a market for that type of ball is a complement. Women golfers are stronger than in years past and are demanding equipment to match their abilities.
