Irons: Graphite vs Steel shaft

Anyone have an opinion? Other than the weight, is there a difference?
I'm thinking of getting a 2 Iron to practice with and don't know weather to go with a steel or graphite shaft.

I have had both and went back to steel. I like to feel the weight of the club when I swing it, the graphite was TOO light. It just never felt right.

BTW - do you consistently hit your 3 iron well? If not, don't spend the money on a 2 iron.

go with steel for control, grphite for distance though i heard the nv shafts are good for both. the weight of the graphite just made me swing to fast i could hit an 8 iron 185 but it was going erverywhere so to steel i went much better.
