Too much spin
I play a 350cc 11 degree Cobra offset driver w/senior flex shaft with low kick point.
A recent session on a launch monitor indicated a good launch angle but spin on the order of 6000 rpm--three times too much. The OEM guy running the session said I was losing 30-40 yards on the drives because of the spin. He tried to sell me one of his $500 drivers, but in the test run I only lost about 1000 rpm, and gained a few yards.
I'm wondering if my spin rate would go down if I had a higher kick point shaft

High flex/kick point shaft should help you bring down the excessive backspins, also lower center of gravity driver head and low driver spin balls will help.

I suffer similar problems. My spin rate is excessive with most every shaft I have tried (though my swing isnt that bad). I would certainly agree with the higher kick point and perhaps a stiffer shaft too. Do remember that these things may well bring the trajectory down, so you might end up needing a more lofted club.
