Tommy Armour

I gave my Callaway X12's to my brother for his B-day with the intentions of buying some to sticks. I wanted the Titleist 690 CB's but no one around my area had them for sale. I was at Golf Galaxy and I saw some Tommy Armours 855's on sale for 200 bucks. I tested them out against some other forged clubs which were 500 to 600 dollars more and liked the Tommy's. I was wondering if this was a good deal? Has anybody played with the 855's and if so how did you like them?

The original 845s were great clubs. Sorry, but that is all I know!

I haven't played the 855s but I do have some almost new 845FS Armour irons and I love them. They are very high quality, with nice shafts and easy to hit. I got mine from RockBotomGolf for about $110 brand new. So I would say, that for the money, the Armours, 855s or other models, are probably the best buy today in an OEM set of irons. The 855s and my 845FS are just earlier models, and so are a lot cheaper. You can get the newer model Morphs for a song too, so check them out also.
