Just buy top flites if you want less spin. The ProV1 and HX tour spin quite a bit and are expensive. NXT's are mid level on price but top flites are down there. The Top Flite Strat TL tour ball is only $12 at golfsmith. Noodles are good too and are relatively inexpensive.
I've used both the Pro V1 and the Pro V1x. The Pro V1 has a higher spin rate and higher ball flight than the Pro V1x when both balls are struck the same. The V1x is used about 2 to 1 over the V1 on tour (those guys don't have a problem getting backspin, rather they want to avopid too much spin), but it's just the opposite for Pro Shop sales. Don't know about the other balls you mentioned.
out of all those the nxt spin less. try the big bertha war bird it does not spin that much and cheaper $14 most everywhere.
I guess I'm looking for a good combination of a lower spinning ball that is softer than the real cheap balls. I'd like to maintain some softness in the ball. I don't necessarily need a real long ball that is harder. I'd rather be more straight and accurate.
A salesman at Golfsmith told me that the NXT tours spin less that the NXT's. He said that today's drivers don't have the grooves that the older drivers had. As a result, many players (including pros) are looking for a less spinning ball. He also told me to stay away from 3-piece balls since my swing speed is in the low to mid 90's. He said that the 3-piece ball requires a faster swing speed to "penetrate" to the core. That made sense.
Cost is not really an issue if the ball works for my game. Heck, I bought a box of Pro v1 and Pro v1x even though I had no business trying to use them (chalk it up to ignorance).
I have some Noodle - Long & Soft, NXT and just bought a sleeve of NXT Tours and Exceptions that I'll try out this weekend.
The Pro V1x is a lower spinning ball. But you may be barking up the wrong tree. More backspin can actually help you, because a ball can't spin backwards and sideways at the same time. So spin is not necessarily a bad thing, especially for slower swingers. Backspin will also keep the ball in the air longer, which can help with distance for a slower swinger.

I hear what you're saying, but right now I have a slice (all side spin) so I figured a lower spinning ball will help reduce at least some of the slice and allow me to keep more balls in play, especially the tee shots. I also realize that this is not a permanant fix but something to 'get me by' until I have the slice under control.
I started playing with a big slice, I calmed my tempo down and started hitting Bridgestone E6. I hit a slight fade if I hit anything other than straight now. The E6 is also my 300 yard ball now, My longest so far is 374 if you could about 50 yards of roll.
