Is My Driver Illegal?

Hello everyone,

A few months ago I put together a driver (see signature) and have been using it with great success hand happiness. Recently, I have noticed that I am now outdriving my friend who is a really big hitter and has taken the time to get his club fitted by a major equipment manufacturer. Now I am wondering, am I using an "illegal" driver.

I have looked at the USGA webpage links for conforming and non-conforming clubheads. My clubhead model/loft is not listed in the non-conforming listing. When I look at the clubhead in the conforming listing, I notice that my club is not a 100% match to that club either (no face marking "SP700" on my clubhead).

I have contacted the USGA but have not received a response. Any suggestions on what I should do? I will continue to use the club, however, I will probably replace it with a conforming club since I plan to play in events sanctioned by the USGA in the future and want to be sure I am in compliance.

Anyone else run into this situation?
Thanks.

It's not so much a question if your head is conforming...but is your head NON-conforming.

If it's not on the non-conforming list,. it's legal to play.
