Taylor Made 3 Rescue club or R5 3 wood

Hi

I need your advise, I am not able yet to control a driver yet for distance, so I was going to use a 3 wood to give me more control and perhaps some extra distance.

Should I purchase a Taylor Made Rescue Dual 3 or a Taylor Made R5 3 Wood, Can you tell me why one would be better than the other and also just for info the Dual is on offer locally at only 99 Euros.

Thanks

MG

Is there anywhere that you can test both out? Clubs are so differnt for many people. For example, I know from hitting both, I can hit the R5 much better.

Well the r5 5-wood would be close to the rescue #3. Keep in mind the woods are going to always travel farther than the rescue's, but for me it is easier to control the rescues. If you are looking for something to take place of the driver, than go for the r5.

well, generally woods have longer shafts than hybrids...in my opinion, if you want to eventually hit a driver...then i would go with a 3 wood. i think the longer shaft would get you used to the swing a driver requires, yet it is easier to hit than a driver is. before you take the plunge, however...i do recomend you experiment with both and see which one compliments you better...good luck.
