I was just wondering if anyone had any news or details regarding the upcoming Nike Driver release. I never thought they would make driver heads that resemble a waffle iron. Im sure there is some sort of technology behind this.

Its based off of the Slingshot Hybrid. Doesn't look pretty though.

wow. looks horrible. I hated swinging the SQ because of its ackward shape, this is even worse.

Ugly ugly ugly....saw more pics on that other site about a week ago. Think I said something to the fact that I don't care the performance you can get from it, I would never ever ever buy something like that......

I dont think the negative comments matter in the slightest. We have heard them before and at the end of the day, if a driver will gain the average golfer another 5 yards or another fairway in a round, they WILL buy it, irrelevant of initial comments on looks.

Buns is right....but it is hard to look at.

Is that a shadow or is it really square like that in the back ? I can't stand the normal 460cc head to begin with, I may go back to 300-350 cc clubs for my next driver.

yeah...that's ugly. i like the sasquatch, i think i'm one of the few that didn't mind that "powebow" in the back. that being said...since they introduced the slingshot hybrid, they've been going nuts with that thing. it's been getting bigger and more obvious...and now, this thing.

I have a Nike Slingshot Tour. The Sumo looks like a blown up SS. Let me just say, if the Sumo performs like the Slingshot, I will have not one, but two Sumo's. One for the bag, and one to sleep with!

Secondly, who cares what the thing looks like. Admittedly, the Nike drivers do not look asthetically pleasing to the eye, but let me ask you golfers this? Do you look at your clubhead all the way from your takeaway, backswing and on through the downswing? No. My SQ, while awkward looking when not in use, is an absolute monster off the tee. That is all I care about. I did chuck the awful headcover though...attracted too many insects.

I agree when Tiger ,michelle and the rest of the Nike players put this in their bags people will wonder what the buzz is about. It took me some time to get used to the SQ. I wonder if aliens golfed would this be something they would have designed?

i love the powerbow, but that thing is not working for me, ill stick with the tour
