Dynamic gold R300 vs Dynalite S300

The dynamic gold regular flex says it's weight is 127 grams. The dynalite stiff flex says it's weight is 120 grams. I know very little about shafts, but would these two shafts have a similar flex? Even though one says it's regular and the other stiff, the stiff flex weighs less? Any advice on these two shafts would be very helpful. Is one better than the other, similar flex, etc...

Right...but does that make the 2 shafts similar? If I am looking for a "regular shaft", will the dyna lite stiff be the same or comparable to a "regular shaft"? Would you be able to tell a difference between the two? The TT site was down when I tried to look it up.

The maker can use different modulus graphites and get different flex characteristics. So, the "stiffer" shaft could be lighter weight than the "softer" shaft by using a higher modulus graphite raw material...the higher modulus stuff is stiffer, and they can use less of it. I think it is just amazing what they can make today with graphite. The aerospace industry has really had a major impact on golf shafts and fishing rods. As far as "how it will feel", I guess you will just have to try both and decide for yourself. I wish the industry had some universal agreement to standardize the different shaft flexes. It would be nice to be able to select a "regular" flex from one brand and for it to be the same as another brand's "regular" flex. But I guess that is wishful thinking.
