Looking for an iron shaft to lower ball flight

What options do I have (looking for a steel shaft) ?

Do the Rifle and Dynamic Gold shafts play pretty much the same? Or does one have a lower ball flight than the other? Any other steel shaft options out there?

I play a stiff shaft but I would be willing to go to an X-Stiff if it will help with lowering my ball flight.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Rifle shafts are great for lowing ball flight. There's also Dynamic Black Gold. Although they are pretty heavy. Don't go to an X-flex. You'll start blocking them out to the right.

Cool

I believe the DG and Rifle Project X shafts would play about the same. I notice you are in Denver, would you be interested in getting together for a round of golf sometime? Is there a reason you are looking to lower your ball flight with your irons? That's the opposite of what most golfers need to do. Just wondering, not trying to be critical. I have a set of LX2 irons with X-stiff TT TriGold shafts that you might like to try. They are about 2 or 3 degrees "strong", so the ball flight is a good bit lower than my new set of SnakeEyes 600C irons. If you'd like to try them some time and compare the ball flight to the set you are playing, I'd be happy to meet you at a driving range some time so you could try them out. What irons are you playing now? I know that Callaway irons tend to be a few degrees stronger than the norm, so any Callaway iron might be worth a try for you.

Rifle Project X will do the trick. Get fitted for them because the flex is different from other steel shafts.
