Got the new Golf Digest the other day to read while on a road trip. Saw the section that had pics of the new irons that are out right now from several companies. The new King Cobra S9 and FP are absolutely beautiful!!!!
I told my wife I want the FP's for Xmas..hehe.

The TaylorMade r7 irons are very nice looking as well. I didn't like the Nike CCI but liked the Nike Ignite irons.

Amazing...does anyone know the rate in which the companies come out with new gear? It appears that the wait between each launch is also constantly shrinking. The competition is fierce.

I am considering adding the cobra fp's to my bag this year or a combo of the
fp's and cobra carbon cb's . That would give me an almost total cobra bag.
Love their drivers and woods. only the putter would be non cobra.

I agree the new Cobras are super nice looking...I know that Cobra makes some top quality clubs. I think the OEMs have to come out with new gear every year, to "obsolete" their previous clubs. They have to convince you that you "can't live without" the new stuff...it's the same way with automobiles. Even VW used to update the original Bug from year to year. A pro club builder friend of mine says Wishon has some patents on head design that several of the major OEMs have to pay royalties on to use. I really like the looks of the Wishon forged cavity backs. You can get a custom built set for a super good price, too. I might just consider them for my next set of irons.

I got a chance to hit them and they're quite nice. I'm a blade guy myself, so I LOVED the new S58's. Those are very nice clubs, but the Rapture irons are nice too. I found them to perform like a more forgiving version of the I5's.

I was just watching an auction on ebay for a set of the Cobra S9 4-PW, the winning bid was only $330 and Golf Digest has these clubs listed for $600 at retail. Great steal!
