Anyone use lead tape on their wedges?

I was thinking of putting a couple strips of lead tape on my wedges to lower the ball flight. Anyone else use lead tape on their irons?

never had much success with lead tape, woods or irons. if you want lower ball flight with the wedges, you'll either have to deloft the club some or have them bent.

If you know how to use it, it can work. I use it on all my short irons and wedges.

Lead tape, I just use it on my putter. I wouldn't like to take the risk by putting Lead on my irons... The weight will feel a lot different, which can't be good. But, I suppose the old saying comes to mind - ''Practice makes perfect''

I used lead strips on the back of my wedges to slow them down , with the higher swing weight. I was hitting them too far to be uniform in distance control, so it dropped them down about 5-7 yards and got uniform carry distances.
