I need some opinions here. I purchased a golf glove(Walter Hagen) from Dick's Sporting Goods. It was purchased on June 20. Yesterday, I went to take it off and it ripped apart at the seams. I only used it about 10 rounds and think that they should replace it. I called Dick's customer service(which they have none) and asked them to replace it but they said it has to be within 30 days. I could understand if I really used it alot but the think ripped due to poor workmanship and not because it was ready to be replace. I used other gloves for several years before. Any suggestions besides not shopping there anymore? All I want is a new one and its not the money - its the principal!
As bad as I hate to agree with Dick’s they are in the right to refuse to replace the glove. Reason retailers if they choose to do so are only responsible to honor workmanship for 30 days some will go as for as 45 or 90 days, after that you have to contact the manufacturer of the product. My suggestion is contact Top Flight (manufacturer of Walter Hagen products) for a replacement I done this before with other companies and they have either sent me a replacement or a check for the replacement. Good luck let us know how it goes but I do think you will get a replacement from the manufacturer.
I was using Nike and Taylormade R7 gloves but they would not stand up to any abuse. I recently switched to Srixon Gloves and Have used the same one for about 2 months now. I can't find any wear on it at all.

Well really, he did contact the manufacturer. Dick's Sporting Goods owns Walter Hagen products, Top Flight is owned by Callaway Golf. So he called the right people but i tell ya, you probably wont get your money back or a new glove.
I have a Nike Dura-Feel and i've been using it for about 6 months now. Its great. Still has plenty of grip and is really easy to clean. Looks great too!

I agree with part of your post Walter Hagen Golf Products are no longer owned by Top Flight, Callaway spun Walter Hagen off after buying Top Flight. I agree with you in part about Dick’s but Dick’s Sporting Goods is not the manufacture they license the products only. I stand behind my statement about retailers warranting products of manufactures for 30 days. What I do not know is did the original poster contact the corporate office of Dick’s Sporting Goods? Or did he contact the store? If he contacted the store he is going to get their standard song and dance of 30 day warranty he may get the same from corporate. In any case it is worth contacting the corporate headquarters’ he may get a replacement. Below is Dick’s Sporting Goods Corporate Headquarters’ address.
I contacted both the store and headquarters and got the same response - no. Not offended at all. Just upset that I bought such a crummy glove. I'll stick with Footjoy from now on.
Since we have the 3 for $30 sale goin on and I get the 25% off i bought 3 of them in different colors and alternate them and i love them. None have stains or are stretching at all. I predict I will have these gloves for a while. Probably just a defective single item. Sorry about your luck though, sometimes we do put out **** stuff
