Lie adjustment?

I have a set of forged Srixon irons that I would like to get fitted to me. Is this possible or do I have to buy new clubs if they need the lie adjusted?

The Srixons can be adjusted up to about 3* without too much worry.

Having the lie angles adjusted on your clubs can be done a local clubmaker or anyone of those big golf stores - Golfsmith or Golf Galaxy. It runs about $4-5 per club to have the lie angles changed.

You also might want to go to one of the smaller stores as the store I usually go to will only charge me $2 per club. $5 seems pretty high to me.

Have them check the lofts too while you're at it. A lot of times the lofts will be off from the factory.

Stupid question but how is the lie angle adjusted, I'm assuming they don't just bend the hosel.

Should be able to unless you are unsually tall or short...lie adjustment and slight extention/trimming is easily done esp on forged clubs...

Doesn't bending cast metal weaken it?

There is a maximum range of adjustability...past the degree threshold determined by the manufacturer voids warranty and responsibility...

Go to a reputable shop. They can easily be bent.
