Cracked Cleveland Halo shaft after hitting 15 balls...

Well I got my Cleveland Halo 2i in the mail today after purchasing from an eBay seller who had a ton of them. After closer inspection and hitting it, it is definitely appears to be the real deal and hits amazing. The only problem I noticed that the paint on the shaft was cracking in 2 places on the underside of the shaft near where it says HALO. Upon closer inspection it appears that the shaft has developed hairline cracks. I have contacted the seller to see what he is willing to do and if he doesn't follow through, I will contact Cleveland. Has anyone experienced this before? I'm pretty surprised, especially only after 15 or so shots on the range.

Welcome to Golf Rewind.

it's very unlikely that the ebay seller will help you out, but it can't hurt to try. Cleveland is your best bet, being a defective shaft, let us know how you make out.

The only reason I am trying the eBay seller first is b/c he does actually have a return policy due to defective equipment or unsatisfaction. I guess my main concern, is will Cleveland still warranty it, since it was purchased new from an eBay seller? The guy is selling mainly Halos and Black Pearls, so obviously he has a connection somehow w/ Cleveland.

Just for kicks, here is the original auction.

BTW, thanks for the welcome, this seems like a great site!

If you went thru paypal, you're definately ok. It's odd that the shaft would crack that high up. I've had them crack, but it's always where the shaft meets the hozel. Anyways', good luck getting this sorted out.
