Second Swing Golf

I do not know if there is a Second Swing golf in you neighborhood, but they are going out of business now. It is pretty sad to me, it was a great store with very good deals.

In Louisville, there is on only about a block from where I live, and I went in there yesterday. Right now, everything is 40-70% off, and there are some great clubs still there! (New and Used)

I bought a brand new Mizuno MP 001 (4) wood for a total of $60+ tax. Their website is http://www.2ndswing.com, get on there and see if a location is near you!

Note: Their website now says 30-50% off, but it was 40-70% yesterday when I was there.

The store near Cleveland was way too overpriced, and they didn't have price tags on anything. I'm not going to take a handful of clubs to their price checker thing or to the counter, just to find out it's only 20% less than new. After a few clubs, I quickly decided to just buy new and spare myself the hassles for such meager savings.

20% off isn't a lot?

Is your last name Buffet or Gates?

I just went to the last store open near Cleveland, and it was very picked over. Even at 40% off, they wanted over $400 for a set of used Ping G2's with steel shafts.

I agree, I don't see how they lasted this long.

And no, 20% off almost retail for a used club isn't a good deal. Especially when you can often get a 20% off coupon from places like Dick's Sporting Goods and get the same club brand new for the same price Second Swing wanted for used.

Ahh, I gotta admit, I didn't know 2nd Swing was all used clubs. I guess the name should have been a clue!

I can't even remember the last time I bought a club from a retail outlet. Ebay is the only way to go- IMO! (new or used)

I 2nd that... deals like $185 for a near-new X460 Tour are extremely hard to find in a retail store...

I went to my local 2nd Swing this weekend and couldn't pass up the FJ StaSoft gloves for $8.50 and another set of Ping Eye 2s for $93. Also got a "classic" Ben Hogan Sure Out wedge for $1.80.
