What is the best 3 wood?

I am giving up on my three wood...I just can't seem to hit it consistently. I hit all my other clubs well except for this and since I have given it a year (BB 15* 2004) with no joy I think it is time for a change...What should I buy? I am looking at the new titleist 906f2, Sonartec and mizuno...I prefer a square face with no or minimal offset...I like the shaft I have and will probably switch it out...what do you like?

My r7 TP has become my favorite club in the bag.

Tee it up low and watch it go!!!!

If you're going to use your current shaft, maybe think about a custom head.

The three wood I have is one of the original orlimar tri-metal clubs (before they were bought by King Parr Golf Equipment) great three wood. The originals are hard to find but if you find one they are a great club to have.

If your are going to keep the shaft you now have I think that BillyBogey5 has a good idea go with a custom componet head.

Either the r5/r7 or the Nike T60. All sweet hitting, forgiving, and let's you work the ball if that is what you need.

I second that. The Trimetal's shallow face make going for the green very easy. Plus, they are very inexpensive at Big 5.

I don't know what the "best" one is, but I do love my Ovation 4 wood, and it can be had pretty cheap! If you have trouble with the FWW, have you tried a low-lofted hybrid, like a 17*?

I just went from a Titleist 904f 15 degree to a Cobra SZ 3 wood. Both are awsome woods, but the Cobra just fits me a little better.

If your interested in my titleist let me know. It's in mint condition.

No 3W is as accurate , longer, or as EZ to hit as my TourEdge Exotics 16.5 4W. Best club in my bag.

How can a 3 wood not be longer than a 4W? I understand the accurate and easier to hit part, but longer?

Oh yeah, the topic. I've use a entry level Wilson 3 wood, a Big Bertha Steelhead Plus and my current Nike T-60. I'd have to say the Nike, there's a reason it's in the bag.

Love my Titleist 904f. If you prefer a players' club it's a good choice.
