Equipment vs. Player

I've been looking at new irons and I have seen that the Titlest 695MB Forged clubs for $900 have True Temper Dynamic Gold Steel shafts with the titleist grip. What would be the difference if I went and get the same shafts with golf prides grips and Snake Eyes forged custom clubs for $450 made and fitted? The only thing that would be a real difference is the clubheads but they are both muscle back. What would be the main difference between the clubs that makes them cost another $450? Help Please

The name and the tour players they have to pay for endorsing their product. Other than that, the clubs are the same.

I used to have the titleist 695mb's before I started working with Nike. They are great sticks. By far the best sticks Titleist has put out yet...They are the best feeling sticks I have hit from them as well. Oem companys spend so much more money in marketing and advertising then component clubs. You are going not going to notice much difference in those clubs. Whichever route you choose to go, I would definately get fitted for the right gear, and not just by standard equipment.

On a side note...If you are looking for a great players club with some forgivness, in February Nike will be releasing the cci forged irons that I am hitting and they are absolulely perfect!

Look at the following Tech Power Forged, Alpha Rx1 and Rx2, And also SMT who makes 3 different seys to mix and match a players game. All 3 makers can be found at B & M Golf Company along with all the shafts and grips you mentioned bandmgolf.com.
