Hybrids?

I'm looking to purchase a new set of clubs and am having trouble deciding idf I should just go 3 - 6 hybrid and reg. irons on the rest. What are the most forgiving and accurate hybrids out there?

I am new and have not tried many different hybirds but I must say I am very happy with the TM Hybirds. I connect every time and get lots of distance. I am having trouble getting the ball to stop and drop but maybe that will come with time. I had such great success with my TM 4 22* yesterday that I went out and bought 2 more that would compliment it tonight. I have never been able to hit a ball the way I could with these.

Taylor Made makes great hybrids, but honestly Adams new "idea" set is an amazing set of clubs that comes with 2 hybrids...It is being played a bunch on all of the tours!!

Wow, I just went and checked out those Adams Hybirds and they look great. http://www.adamsgolf.com/hybrids.htm I would love to compare them to what I am using now to see if I could tell a difference or not? It really made me look good out there yesterday. Now if I could just learn how to putt better... One of the guys I played with yesterday told me to just get good on putting, than focus on my short game then move back to the driver. He told me that is how he learned. Does that sound right?

Seems like the halo by cleveland has a following, although I have one collecting dust...I really like the rescue dual tp...I have two and play at least one all the time depending on course conditions and my swing that day...they are great out of the rough and in wet conditions, hit well out of sand and are workable to a degree...I went with the tp due to the flat face vs the slightly closed face of the non tp model, but I don't fool with the weights, just set up 8 and 8gr...very nice club (ought to be for the price!)...I also have a sonartec that I got cheap on ebay, but find it hard to hit some days if my tempo is off; strangely I am much more consistent with my irons than with it which is a shame because when it is on, it is really on and one of the best feeling clubs I have ever hit...

If your new too the game I'd recommend 3-5 hybrids, they just make the game slighty easier/more fun. That being said there is a small percentage that prefer long irons, I'm not one of them lol

I'm not sure you care what the guys on the tours are playing but this IS the number one hybrid on tour...The irons are definately finding there ways into peoples bags as well...

I've been thinking about the Adams Idea hybrids - but with the offset they look like hookers to me. And it seems like I've read that they are a little too easy to turn over. (perhaps designed, like so many clubs, with the slicer in mind..)

Does anyone know if those being used on the Champions Tour are a tour version of this club - or is there only one version of the Adams Idea hybrids?

I hate to buy the darned things only to find out that all I can hit with them are pull-hooks.

i play the Taylor Made Rescue Mids 3 and 4 iron club with a graphite shaft. I love these clubs, I play usualy at a nine hole course and for 6 of the holes i tee off with the 3 iron hybrid. these clubs are great.

Nickent Golf are very unrated hybrids. They're not number 1 on the Nationwide Tour (where club deals are few and far between) for nothing, but if you're looking for a full set, check out Adams Golf. Find a store that lets wou demo and see what works for you.
