About 10-15 years ago a company called Accuform came out with a square driver. I think it may even have had an airfoil on it. I believe it was called "The Whistler". If I remember right they said the same stuff about MOI that the companies are saying now.
I dont know why it matters if its ugly, if you hit it down the middle of the fairway while ure mate is lookin gfor his in the bush.....he cant take the micki

i'm not saying that i couldn't get used to it, im saying that its ugly and unlike any club i've seen. i'm sure it works, but so does my driver....
my boss just played with the local callaway rep and hit the new square driver. although it lacked a few yards of the new 460 they have coming out, he said it was almost impossible to hit crooked. straightest thing he's ever hit is what he said.
A local "Fairways" magazine had an article about these two drivers. I guess it's the Hi-Bore for next season...freaky new thing. I bought the Hi-Bore, but I really don't think that I'll buy one of these drivers. I never saw another Hi-Bore out on the course...couldn't have sold very well.
By the way, I dumped the Hi-Bore after about a month. Straight is good. Short is bad. I will never be willing to sacrifice distance for accuracy with a driver.
They are too loud and too ugly. I hit the Sumo just as well as my SQ. The SUMO has more MOI but for me is has way more UGLY. I hate the sound....I sounds like the Corbras....you will need some ear muffs with the SUMO
