56 is a sand wedge. Minimum 8 degrees of bounce.

With today's wedges, you can get them with as little as 4 degrees all the way up to 16 degrees. There is really nothing I would call typical anymore. Most shops would probably try to sell you a 12 degree for sand wedges. Myself, i like my Wilson Staff SW, it has 4 degrees of bounce, but it is a 1971 model.

i have 12 degree, i think its perfect as it allows me to hit down on the ball and catch jumpers out of the rough

Just depends on what type of swinger you are, and what the conditions of the courses are that you normally play...that is why they have different bounces...Everyone plays something different....

it depends on your swing, how big are your divots? If they are deep and big then i would say go with a 12 or 14* bounce but if they are shallow, or short then go with an 8 or 10* bounce

I was looking on Titleist web site and they only make 10* and 14* of bounce on their 56 * wedges.
