Sunglasses for golf

I have the whole winter now to fuss over another purchase. With the help here from the members I would like some opinions on choices ranging from inexpensive to high end (I'll have all winter to save also but would appreciate sanely priced suggestions). I've heard that polarized glasses are bad for reading greens - is that true? (has anyone experienced that and maybe know why?)
What I'm looking for are glasses to help me follow the ball in flight (against the sky) and cut glare. If some are better also for finding balls in the grass well, thats a bonus but still secondary.
Thanks, and keep replying, I have all winter.

I really like Oakley. They come in a bazillion different styles and lens tints. The ones with the rubber temple sleeves work great even when you are super sweaty and hunched way over a putt, they really grab and wont slide off your face. The Half Jackets have removable lenses so you can swap them out for different lighting conditions. For every day use, I like the VR28 tint which is fairly neutral. For overcast, Persimmon is excellent. Great clarity and very little peripheral lens distortion, and they do prescription.

I always play with my Oakley half jackets. They make a huge difference. No problem at all with sun or glare with those puppies on.

You know they're not real puppies, right?

I have Uvex polarized which are great, need replacing though... Similar style to Half Jackets at a much lower price.

In reading some of the other threads on this topic, I am floored that tons of people don't wear sunglasses while playing golf, although I shouldn't be... I cut skin cancers off my golf-playing patients who don't wear sunscreen all day!

Just as UV causes skin cancer, it also promotes cataracts and macular degeneration. Sunglasses are VERY important.

I have a pair of Oakley M-Frames with both the V28 and persimmon lenses. they work very well.

I have found that Polarized do not allow you to see subtle changes in greens.

I've had 2 pairs of Sundog glasses. They cost mid-40s, so it hurts when I lose them, but not like losing a pair of Oakleys. They're made for golf. I liked them, although the style is certainly love it/hate it.

I've worn polarized Oakley's for years, but I just started wearing these on the course, and they are AWESOME. It's the polarized Half Jacket XLJ. I can read greens, see the ball in flight, and pick the ball out of the grass. They're comfortable and wrap around nicely. Have a looksie...

Oakley M Frames, they are what I call my "activity" glasses. These are great for playing baseball, golf, running, etc. I've even got jet-skiing with them on and fallen off the ski to have them stay on.

Yes, they look good AND you say reading greens is not a problem with these! Thanks for the feedback.

These seem to be exactly what I am looking for.
Anybody wearing them have comments?
Do they do what they endorse they should?
Thanks in advance for your replies. I'm greatful for honest opinions.
