Skycaddie login

I found this site trying to get my christmas gift working. The new Skycaddie SG4. My question is: Has anyone had trouble logging on to their website? I keep getting an error. I tried to seach this question here first, but no luck. I suspect I am not the only one to get a gift today, being Santa's just leaving and all, and my feeling is their site is simply bogged down. However, I do remember reading a review where someone sent their gps back because he could never get logged on. Any help is apprecieated.

I also recieved a SkyCaddied for Christmas and cannot register it. I can install the desktop software, but cannot register it. I get a server error when I attempt to Direct Connect. The frustrating thing is I cannot even call the company for help, because I have no number for thier support desk. I have filled out a ticket, many hours ago but no reply. Am interested in how you resolve your problem.

I hope it resolves on its on. From the reviews I have seen, their customer service dept. is lacking to say the least. Let me know if you work it out, I'll do the same.

I was thinking about getting a sky caddie with money from Christmas but if I keep hearing bad things like this I may not. Another thread was going on the other day talking about their customer service being terrible.

check out the sureshot golf gps, its been getting great reviews.

One cool thing about this is there is no subscription required. You can also download and upload courses to a site. So if say someone mapped your home course you can download it off the net.

^^ Sureshot definitely looks NICE! They just don't have many courses available yet it doesn't look like.

How many courses does SureShot hold at a time? I'm sure I just missed it, but didn't see that listed.

I also got a Skycaddie from the man in the red suit and had a little difficulty in registering and downloading course info. I resolved the problems by amending my firewall and windows xp settings.. there are instructions on the skygolf.com site for those having communication problems, I simply followed the points as detailed on http://www.skygolf.com/SG_Customer_S...ctConnect.aspx

Hopes this helps

I don't know about how many it holds, but you can add your own courses on the thing for free. So if your home course isn't mapped then you can do it your self. I think that is a handy feature, for when playing at smaller courses that sky caddie won't ever map.

I was having trouble with the direct connect procedure last night and called customer support. The csr said they were having trouble with the server because of all the traffic the site is trying to handle. She said that the techs are working on putting in another server to handle the demand. I called at about 8:00 eastern and was impressed that they would have someone answering the phone at 8 on Christmas day. However, they should have anticapted the demand and installed another server prior to yesterday. Hopefully this will get worked out in the next day or so.

I believe you can also map your own courses with skycaddie. I think it holds 5 of your own mapped courses.

For those of you who can't get logged in, just follow the link that Linden included. There is nothing wrong with your unit ...it's just that Windows XP will automatically block the download unless you allow it to.

Don't worry, once you get past this then it's all fun & games!!!

One more thing....For all you lucky Gents that Santa dropped off a GS3 or GS4, do yourself a favor...go on their website and order the Temporary Cart Mount Bracket! Yeah it's $69, but it sure does make it NICE when you are out on the course!!!
