They claim:

Quote:
These patent pending brushed aluminum golf tees don't harm clubs, and are the perfect executive gift! They make a great clink on every drive, and make teeing up easy in cold or hard ground. For use with metal drivers only (please don't use plastic clubs). These 2.75" tees come 5 to a pack. We also sell standard 2.25" tees.

Price: $14.50 Each

What do you think? Probably last forever, but really, wooden/plastic tees aren't that expensive...

Brush Tees......

X-mas morning my Grandson gave me a pack of "Brush-Tees".....so I told the wife that even though it was X-Mas day, I simply HAD to go out and play so i didn't break his heart!!!

I loved them!!! No I'm not going to say I hit the ball farther or staighter, they were just real easy to use and I don't know HOW I could ever break one?

I would never have thought to buy them, but now I love them!

metal tees

Ok, lets see, now I spend 500 bucks on a titanium driver, another 1,000 dollars on irons....using metal tees? I dont think so!!! unless of course the manufacture sends me 500 dollars for my first dent on my club... this is ridiculous idea. Although a bit longer and i might use them to stir my martini......

yeah, but what if you mis hit it or hit the tee in the wrong spot. metal to metal = sparks and sparks= metal chunks. i don't want to ding up my driver, so i'll stick with wood, thank you.

I may not be Einstein, however, I do know that when metal hits metal something gonna give. Just ask the Whiskey dents on my tarus...
how about over sanded tee boxes? seems even sand will do some nice scratches on the club....metal tees uh,uh.
P.S. just kidding about the whiskey dents.

Just make sure you don't break wind the same time you hit the ball!

I have to agree, the tees look very nice, but from a practical point of view, I do think that they wouldn't be the kindest to the club-heads we use. Also, I am reminded of a tip (more of an instruction) from the pro at my local course during a lesson. He advocated wooden tees over plastic tees for three reasons, all of them perfectly sensible.

Firstly, broken wooden tees, usually lost or discarded, would not damage the greenkeepers/groundsmens mowing equipment; secondly, the mowing equipment would chew the wooden tees into smaller pieces which would aid the eventual rotting of the wood (biodegradability et al) and finally, the pro shop would be able to sell more tees !! The latter was said in jest, but the first two points I felt, were valid.

Can you imagine the danger of mowing equipment pinging a lost aluminium tee, at speed, in no particular direction?

well so far as the golf club head is concerned I do not think there would be any damage. Aluminum is a lot softer metal than titanium, the only damage I could really see is the tee itself warping over time.

They may not break but they should efficiently fly off never to be seen again. I am sure I could easily lose all 5 in one round! Great! Now I have to bring two sleeves of balls and 2 boxes of tees!

Looks like there's an o-ring around the head of the tee...still don't think I'd trust it.
