I got a sasquatch!

I picked up one today at the golf shop that was a demo for 170 bucks. It's in perfect shape, 10.5* stiff stock shaft. I took it to the range and hit it for a while and liked it pretty well. Distance is out there with my ft3 but with a higher ball flight. The only bad thing is every once in a while it will balloon on me and just drop out of the sky. Anybody got a suggestion on which shaft I should get that will keep a fairly high ball flight but not balloon. I was thinking ys6 but I might need to go with a v2 since it is a 10.5 loft. Any thoughts?

Probably coulda got one on Ebay for < $100.

Sorry...

Anyway, I would hit it a few more times before deciding that you need a new shaft.

This ball flight has gotta come down just a little bit, its definitely getting reshafted. If it did'nt balloon some I would probably leave it alone. I love the ys6 in my ft3 tour so I may go with that but I'm also thinking about a v2 or a comp nt 65.

I had a balloning problem with my R7 draw and it's stock shaft. Got a NVS in it and was a little better but still happened from time to time. Put a V2 in it and I am in driving Nirvana. Great Shaft wish it was in all my woods.

I used this driver today for an entire round for the first time. I hit it really well for the most part but a couple of drives that felt really well struck would take off and get to the apex and then just drop. When it does'nt do this distance is great and I did'nt turn the ball over real hard with it either which is a good thing. I think when I get the right shaft in it it's gonna be a keeper.

i have a ys7 in mine and that seem to help that ballooning.

Diamana 83 would def. bring ballflight down... i plan on putting one in my Sasquatch this spring. but the cost is close to $300 if i go through the pro shop.

You are a lucky man!!!! The pro launch isnt bad and I like the v2 quite a bit...Just make sure you get the right flex and weight!

I might be able to get you a lot better price on that diamana if you are wanting the same one I have in my driver...If you dont mind a pulled shaft

If I get a v2 should I go a flex weaker than normal? I heard they play a little stiff. Would the prolaunch stop the ballooning? Isn't it a pretty high launch shaft?

Nah, if you get the V2, get your normal flex, otherwise you'll have the same problems. The V2 is a terrific shaft, I have one in my driver, and it's going so well. I am hitting it pretty high though, but not ballooning, just launching quite high. I don't think it plays particularly any stiffer than anything else.
