I'm having shaft troubles.

First post here, looks like a nice place!

I'm looking into getting a used Callaway x460 tour driver for a nice price. The only thing is it has a Fuji tour platform 26.3 shaft. I have read on here that that shaft is a distance killer with this driver and distance isn’t something I would like to give up.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what type of golfer/swing this driver GENERALLY fits pretty well.

The option of fitting is pretty well non existent.

I was thinking of maybe getting another shaft put in it before I bought it.

Can anyone also recommend a good shaft for this driver?..I know it’s heavily dependent on the individual but I know nothing about shafts, and what suits me well.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I can post a Swing video if necessary to help with a recommendation,

Thanks a lot,

I hit that driver with the tour platform and I liked it. I had great control with it and I did'nt notice a distance loss. You really need to hit a driver before you decide if you need a different shaft. You need to know your ball flight with a specific combo so you'll know if you want to bring the flight down or up or if you want a different feel from a shaft. Overall I would say try the tour platform and if you don't like it you can send it off to be reshafted or take it to a local golf shop. If you dont like it I can tell you thet the Graphite Design ys6+ is a great shaft with good control and excellent distance.
