Today I went out & hit the Titleist 975.CM again. I was hitting the ball well today and immediately fell in love with them. I gave the Mizuno MP-60's another try as well as the Cleveland CG4 Tour and the Titleist 695-CB. I wanted the 975.CM's baaaad.. but they were just kinda out of range of what I wanted to pay.

I thought I'd head over to the Golf USA nearby and see what they had. I started looking along the wall and didn't see any of the 735's. The guy working there asked what I was looking for & I told him. He said he was sure they didn't have any.

He glances around and says "Nope, haven't seen those around here in a long time. We don't carry much Titleist. But have you tried the Titleist 695-CB? We have a set on consignment we are selling for another guy. They are $500 and like new."

I give them a look, and yep.. they're in good shape. I fiddle around with them, but they just aren't what I want. I know I can get a used set of 735's in the same shape for the same price. So as I put them down, I just happen to glance over... and sure enough.. there is a daggum set of 735's sitting there. Brand new.

I say "Well here's what I was looking for in the first place." Guy says "oh.. I thought you were looking for the 775's ."

Weird thing is the 775's were right on the wall when I walked in. The first thing I picked up.

I look down at the price.. $750. With a big red line through it. New price: $550. Then the other guy working there chimes in and says "If you buy them from us new, we adjust the lie for free. We'll fit you or just adjust it to whatever you request." By george!

These are $749 new from TGW, Edwin Watts, and Golf Smith. I paid $582 out the door & had them adjusted to the lie I wanted. Everything else in that store is pretty overpriced, but I came away with a pretty good deal there.

Will post a full review after some quality time with them. Thanks to everyone who has answered my questions the past few days!
