The list is all garbage...pick up the previous three issues, fold the corners of all the advertisments, then check the hotlist to see if the folded corners placed...nothing beats a demo...
What is so big about the r7 anyway? Aren't they all made of titanium, all 460 cc, and all have the highest MOI and COR (which have limits now btw)? All marketing. Shaun "The Beast" Fisster uses the Dunlop Loco Pro and he bombs it close to 400yds. I've seen those on sale at Big 5 for $100 bucks.
I checked it out off the email link I got from them, will look at it more closely once I get the paper copy. All the usual suspects it looked like, although Adams got the 'Editors Choice' for the hybrid.
I did register to win the $3500 'dream bag' gift card they are giving away, but I doubt lightning will strike twice after winning my driver off them last summer.

Correct...it's all marketing. The driver heads for the most part are allready maxed out as far as the COR and everything, but now TM has that "draw" marketing going on, so everyone and their brother thinks that they can get this driver and draw everything automatically.
This is exactly the reason I've not went out and got the Titleist 905R that I want, because I know deep down that I wont hit it any different than the Launcher I've got no matter how good my friends felt when I hit his. I think I'm going to just get fit for a new shaft in my driver though.
I'm not hyping any club but I couldn't hit a draw with any driver until I tried the TaylorMade r5 D with the draw bias. I've played a fade since the day I started playing golf (Ok...it was a slice back then ), I didn't change my grip, my set-up, or my swing, and now I play a draw off the tee with my driver. You can call it marketing if you like but I call it a miracle!
Yeah, but anybody could make a draw bias driver if they wanted. It just doesn't suit everybody, so they don't all do it. I'm sure you'd hit a Callaway Ft3 draw, or a Cobra M-speed straight as well.
I agree that much of it is hype, although I do think Taylor Made make terrific drivers. I had an R580 and an R540 and they were awesome. However I now have an Innovex CFD with a UST V2 shaft and I've never hit the ball further.

I love my R7 Draw, and yes I can hit a draw with my driver now and straight too. Before I hit a fade on just about every shot. I would like to say my swing has improved, but I give all the credit to the driver.
Okay, okay...I guess it's not ALL marketing because all they are doing is closing the clubface which is what a lot of people have trouble doing on the downswing, so I should say if what you're currently working with is slight fade, the draw bias will work because the only different between a fade and draw is a slight difference in the angle of the clubface at impact.
I guess I was meaning more of the guys that you see where the ball starts 40 yards left of the target and ends up 15 yards right of the target...the draw bias wont really do much there.
My driver, Ping G5, and my putter, Ping g5i made the list. I'm not experienced enough yet to tell you that my driver's all that because I don't hit it that well yet. My putter, on the other hand, is outstanding. I highly recommend taking a strong look at the g5i series if you're in the market for a new putter. My model is the B60.

It's funny because nowadays it's getting to the point where you have to actually look high and low for a square-to-open faced driver. The only, and I mean only production model I've seen of late that meets the bill (besides the TM TP's - $500 for a driver? No thanks) are Clevelands. The Launcher Comp sets up so perfectly square, I love it.
If I even look at a driver with a draw face I get the hooks for a week
I loved my r7 Quad when I had it, and still really like the TM 425. This last weekend I played in a group with a guy who had the r7 Draw and he was still hitting a pretty decent fade (10-15yds) which means either the technology is really preventing a huge slice or that it's more the indian and not the arrow.

If he's hitting a fade with a hook-faced club like that, you can bet anything he'd be slicing it off the planet with a square-faced club.
