Question Set Questions

Right now I have $280 and I am rebuilding my set. Right now my irons and putter are fine. With this money I plan on getting a new driver and a 56 and 60 degree wedge. What do you guys think would be the best combination for my price range. The bold ones are the ones that I thought were the best in the category just by research but I am not sure.

Driver: Specs
Cleveland Launcher $150
Adams Redline RPM Dual $150
Nike SasQuatch $200

Wedges: Specs
Ben Hogan Riviera $59
Adams Tom Watson Wedge Pack Gunmetal $80 (52,56,60)
Ben Hogan Colonial $70
TaylorMade rac Satin $80
Nike Spin Velocity $80
Cleveland Classic $80

Specs for these wedges
Cleveland 900 Formed Forged $70 Gunmental $50
Lynx Tour $60
Tour Edge Bazooka Black Carbon $60 / Soft Stainless $40
Ray Cook Dual Bounce $50
Carbite Tour Series E/S Black Nickel $60
Purespin Black Chrome Tungsten $40

For the future which of these are better?

Fairway Woods:
Cleveland Launcher $100
TaylorMade V-Steel $100

Irons:
Cleveland CG1 $599.88
TaylorMade rac OS2 $499
Titleist 704.CB $599
Snake Eyes Heads 600C or 600B $240 Golf Pride Tour Velvet Grips $20.72 True Temper Dynamic Gold $77.52 (8 Clubs 3-PW) $338.24 Snake Eyes

You could also look at the TM R580XD for $149 or the R7 Quad for $199.These are Golfgalaxy prices, would be less if you used ebay. I've used both clubs and really like the forgiveness and consistancy of these. Currently use the R7.
Also heard good things about the SMT Durometer Wedges.
Can pick up alot of good wedges cheap on ebay.

Those tm clubs are both under 460cc and did you look at the Adams club and the specs and pics of it? And Nike Rep the two things you picked out would put me over my limit. More help please, what about the things I put in bold?

Yea sorry about that....The adams driver really isnt a bad stick...I've always hated the launcher.....and the hogan wedges arent bad either...so if you've hit the adams and liked it, I would get the adams driver and the hogan wedges...or just get the sasquatch now, and wait a bit to get some wedges........or get the sv tour wedges and wait a bit for the driver....are you hitting a titleist 975d?

Nikerep, I always love your answers
If it were me and I could only pick from that list I would go with claveland wedges, v steel fairway wood, and either the launcher or SQ(both are good sticks). I've never hit the Adams so I would'nt know about it. For the irons if you can hit blades definitely go with cg1's, if not I would go with something not on your list. If your a pretty good player check out the cg4 tours and the taylor made r7 tp's, they are both great sets. Ireally don't know anything about the component stuff so thats why I'm not pointing you in that direction.

Have you checked what you can get for your $280 at rockbottomgolf? You may be pleasantly surprised. Worth a few minutes to take a look for sure.

so says the nike rep.............. lol jk man

i play the mizuno wedges. chrome. wish i woulda got the raw though. never swung the nikes. im a firm believer from previous nike golf products that nike should stick to making shoes. no offense just dont care for the line. although alot of people are swinging the sasquatch.

Launcher Driver, V Steel fairway woods, and although out of that list, I like the Cleveland wedges the best, the Hogan Rivera is also a good wedge especially for 59 bucks.
