Cleveland 588 vs Nike SV Tour (gap wedge)

I'm looking at adding a gap wedge, as I stated in another post, and I think I've narrowed it down to either the Cleveland 588 or Nike SV Tour. I have a $40 store credit to use at Sports Authority, so my choices are limited......CG10, CG11, 588, Nike SV. The 588 and Nike SV are only $90, so I'm leaning towards them.

Does anyone have a preference between these two?

Heard good things about the SV Tour - but that said, i've heard as many good things about the Mizuno MP-R, Vokey SM, Taylormade RAC TP, Callaway X-Tour, etc.

Chances are at $90 it's the original SV, not the Tour. Nothing special with the standard SV, so far as I know. Reviews i've heard are mixed, personally I didn't find it all that good. The 588, on the other hand, is a classic. Probably has the greatest staying power of the current wedge market - the fact that it's been around awhile is a testament to its performance. Personally, i'd take the 588 before not only the SV, but the CG10 & 11 as well.

I think that wedges are a lot like putters, in that the best wedge will be the one that fits your eye and it'll be the one that feels the best to you. They all do the same thing. So, I believe it's very hard for someone to say ""X" wedge will be the best for you". JMO

No, it's the SV Tour. I was there last night and saw it. It's also listed on the Sports Authority site. I'll probably go with the Nike since I already have the 56 and 60 Nike TW wedges.

The CG10 is tied with a Titleist Vokey in my preference. CG10 has the best feel and pleasing to my eye and the Titleist has the most spin.

Well, I decided on the Nike SV Tour. I used my $40 credit at Sports Authority, so the 52* wedge only cost me $50. Not bad. It should go well with my forged TW wedges. If I like it, I'll probalby sell both the 56 and 60* TW wedges and get a 58* SV tour.
