when to replace a wedge?

how do you know when it's time to replace a wedge? also, can you have them refinished or is it just better to buy a new one? i have a cg10 that looks pretty worn in the center of the face, it still plays well, but i want to know if i were to gain more from getting a new one, or if i can just have the one i've got refinished...if that's even possible for this club. thanks.

depends on how worn the grooves are. with no grooves you will have very little spin...i read on here you can buy a tool from golfsmith.com that repairs grooves . but ive never used it and have no idea how it works. i play lots of golf and replace my wedges every year or so,,,depending on the wedge. but no grooves is bad news and you dont want to get use to something like that...the ball will release more and when you get a new wedge all your shots will become short...wedges are expensive but, if they need replacing then do it. as per refinishing, i guess you could call cleveland and ask them or send it to nomad tour van, but its so expensive that its IMO better oof to buy a new one.
