I recently purchased thc_3 bag boy hard travel case that breaks into three pieces, its still a hassel and it wont fit into car trunk without openning it up, can someone please tell me about a good travel cover/case that can fit into a regular sized car trunk?
thanks.
I like my Ogio Straight Jacket. 90 on rock bottom - not really any longer than your golf bag is, though getting any travel bag lengthwise into a trunk (without folding seats etc) will be hard.
Hard cover, or soft cover? I've got a soft cover that cost less than $20 that worked fine for me the last time I traveled with my clubs. Hard cases are better I guess, in terms of protection, but they can be a pain in terms of size and fit at you noticed.

If you want a golf club travel case you can check onto an airline, then I am sure you must have a hard travel case. You can rent these travel cases for a trip from many Pro Shops.
Last time I flew & checked my clubs as baggage (many years ago), I used my regular golf bag with a snap on soft leather hood (that came with the golf bag) to enclose my clubs. Back then this was ok, but lately I hear you need a hard enclosed case to take your clubs by plane.
IMO you have the best bag out there already...I have flown all over with mine and I haven't had a single club broken or stolen...that and it is easy to wheel around an airport...together with being able to be broken into three pieces, it can't be beat...true, combined with other luggage you might have to put something in the back seat but a small price to pay for security...

It seems to depend on the airline... I think those that "require" a hard case will accept a soft case if you sign a waiver.
