Hi- I just saw the putter poll below, and it prompted my question which is similar. Would like opinions on really really exceptional putters which could make a difference (forgetting about the operator which is obviously most important). I use a Ping Ally now, have an old Anser in the garage. Also, soliciting putting tips with equipment recommendation. I currently use a line on my ball, line things up, then use the ball line once verified. I am left eye dominant, right handed (same as Tiger and Jack),but have horrible time seeing the line from the right side (see it great from left, but can't putt lefty). Lean towards straight back and thru (vs gate) stroke. Anyway, appreciate great putter ideas and a good tip or so. Now that my equipment is finally perfect for me(in fact, only using 13 clubs), now looking at putting as score limiting problem. Thanks all.

I am also cross-eye dominant which made a difference when I finally realized it when firing pistols.

I like the alignment putters, personally, because of that reason. I prefer the 2 bar to the 2 ball putters. I have been seriously working on putting for the past 2 months and have significantly improved my feel for distance and reading breaks. It doesn't hurt to chip closer to the hole, also.
