new Taylormade Burner Driver?

I just got back from my my week long trip to the Buick Invitational and was at the driving range watching the PGA pros swing away and noticed two things...Taylormade re-released the Burner? The driver was a hit as all the other pros were flocking to the guys that were able to get their hands on one. Does anyone on the board have any info on this driver? Would this driver be consideribly better than the R7 line? The second thing i noticed was that a number of the guys were swinging some kind of orange driver but didnt hit any balls with them. Is this a weighted driver so they can increase power before they play? If so, what kind of driver is that? I remember Vijay use to bring out a hammer looking thing and this time around he had this orange club head driver.

Yep, TM is re-releasing the Burner name for a new driver they are coming out with. You can get details about:

http://www.taylormadegolf.com/pickone/

Looks like the colors for it will be red though, so I dunno about the orange club.

Thats hilarious.....Taylor Made had to come out with two completely different drivers, because they knew the 1 wasn't going to be good enough.....They will probably come out with about 4 more before the year is over

The club that "atm_73" posted is a weighted driver made by Momentus which is supposed to provide benefits similar to their iron that was popular with a lot of tour players. It's inteneded as a warm-up/practice club, but unlike the Momentus iron, you can acutally hit balls with this one.

It comes in various weights and even comes in a ladies weight. I saw an infomertial on the club and almost bought one just to see how well it works. Then I decided that I'd rather tinker with some older "junk" clubs of mine and see if I can make my own...

That must have been the hole where Tiger hit the 3 iron

Actually I was surprised at how long Howell is!

Yea...I only got to see the back nine, but I saw Howell hit it by him when they both hit driver a few times. Tiger did put it by him as well and on 17 when they both hit 3 wood Tiger went by him with a ton of roll. Must have been that stinger he loves so much. Howell is long, if his putting keeps coming along he could win a few.

Back on Topic From the looks of the website, the new burner seems to be TM's offer to the High-MOI movement. Although it has a high MOI, it isn't square like some others. It looks more like the Adams Insight, a disc-shaped driver.

GlfJack, I knew what the Momentus was, I was simply asking the poster if that was what he had seen.
